My name is Malique (pronounced Mah-Leek), and I am an editor based in Brooklyn. My journey into editing began during my sophomore year of high school when I enrolled in my first broadcasting class. This ignited a passion that led me to pursue a B.A. in Film + TV at Georgia State University. In 2017, I made the leap to New York City.

Since then, I've worked as an assistant editor on documentaries such as The Big Payback and BMF: Black Mafia Family. I've also received an additional editor credit on American Symphony. In addition to my work on documentaries, I've also been an editor on independent projects and digital series, including my web series Adultin', Vogue Beauty Secrets, and Criblore: Black Mary.

My goal is to focus on telling stories from underrepresented communities, particularly those within the Black diaspora, and to contribute to women of color in post-production roles within the industry.
